2. Read carefully the number of words required in an answer
Each fill in Listening has a different requirement for the number of words or numbers that learners must meet.
Normally, you will have to read the previous topic carefully before you start. Once you’ve determined the number of words / numbers you need, there are two things beginners will ask.
One is about articles and two is about compound adjectives:
- Firstly, a / an / the is also counted as a word.
